Palta was formed in 2011 with the merger of the Employers’ Association of Special Branches, Employers’ Association for Transport and Special Services, Association of Support Service Industries and the Employers’ Association TIKLI. The purpose of the merger was to create a strong, capable and cost-effective employers’ representative organisation that would also bring a large number of service sector businesses under the Confederation of Finnish Industries.
